Our History

​Safe Haven Women's Shelter grew out of the Taber & District 
Family Crisis Intervention Society (TDFCIS).

TDFCIS changed its name to Safe Haven Women's Shelter 
Society and still operates Safe Haven through a Board of 
Directors.

TDFCIS was incorporated in 1996, and is a recognized 
non-profit organization and charity.

The Safe Haven  Women's Shelter Society is striving to end the cycle of abuse through the delivery of inclusive, non-judgmental support services to individuals, families and communities.

Our Vision

A safe community where people are supported to reach their full potential.

Our Service Area 

Safe Haven helps people all over Southern Alberta! Current towns included in our service area are: 
​Taber, Enchant, Vauxhall, Retlaw, Hays, Barnwell, Skiff, Foremost, Etzikom, Purple Springs, Grassy Lake, Burdett, Wrentham, Warner, Milk River, Coutts.
