What is Public Education?

There are lots of attitudes that can lead to harmful and abusive behaviours. As frontline workers, we see how these attitudes affect how people treat themselves and others. We believe that by encouraging people to rethink these attitudes, we can all learn together, rebuild our communities, and resist systemic violence. Our Awareness & Public Education Coordinator encourages conversation about intimate partner violence through: workshops, presentations, events, partnerships, groups, training, and physical materials.

Public Education is for Everyone

  • If you are a new city council that wants to better serve your constituency, request a presentation on our services!
  • If you are feeling lonely and are looking for community, ask about our groups!
  • If some of your staff experience triggers or anxiety, request a presentation on grounding techniques!
  • If you want to run an advocacy campaign or event, let us know how we can help!
  • If you're a school, perhaps you're interested in a guest presentation on healthy relationships for your youth!
