At Safe Haven we want you to feel comfortable and secure.
We offer a 21-bed
facility and a modern security and surveillance system. Crisis workers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to provide basic provisions, emotional support, and resources.

"Safe Haven kept me from harm and gave me hope."
"I was so scared and hopeless. I'm so glad I asked for help."

What to expect at Safe Haven

Comfort

Comfort

Safe Haven has 21 beds, a full couch and kitchen area, entertainment, toiletries, and food.
Support

Support

Safe Haven crisis workers are in the shelter 24/7 to answer calls, provide emotional support, resources, and anything else you might need.
Security

Security

We have a full security and surveillance system to keep our residents safe and comfortable. Resident's identities are protected, and no information is given out to anybody without permission.

When you come to stay

First contact is usually made by phone by calling Safe Haven's 24-Hour Crisis Line and speaking with a Crisis Intervention Worker.

Crisis Line:  (403) 223-0483

They will let you know if there is space for you and your children if you'll be bringing any with you. They will also arrange transportation to the shelter if you don't have your own way.

When you arrive, Shelter staff will meet you at the door and then go through an intake process with you. There will be intake paper work to complete, a tour, an introduction to the Shelter and our Guidelines for Communal Living.

LAST YEAR

We helped 335 women and children with emergency residential services.
